About Cortes Radio
A small group of believers founded the Cortes Island Radio Society in 2004. This resulted in CORTES COMMUNITY RADIO, which was licensed in October 2011 and broadcasts at 80 watts from a height of about 400 feet above sea level. The islands of Cortes, Quadra, Maurielle, and Read, as well as the Campbell River on Vancouver Island and Lund on the mainland, are all comfortably covered by our listening area. Every day of the week, Cortes Radio broadcasts.
